CCCP Flight school was originally opened as a glider training camp.
In 1933 The Luftwaffe took over the site and transformed it into a fully functioning military airfield to help develop Germany’s flight skills ready for the war.
Later on in 1945 the site was taken over by the Red Army, a few units of the soviet air force were based here.
In 1992 the airfield was given back to Germany and has been abandoned since.
