The University of Wroclaw is a public research university in Poland. Founded in 1945, replacing the previous German University of Breslau.
WWII brutally ended the music halls functioning in spring 1945 when Besiged Festung Breslau came under heavy bombardment. The building suffered serious damage, and the central part was totally destroyed. The reconstruction of the music hall started in 1974.
